Who can apply for the FAO Fellowship Program?
- Applicants should possess a graduate or post-graduate degree (Master’s or Ph.D.), be actively enrolled in a Ph.D. program at a legitimate educational institution during the application period, or be a recent graduate. It’s essential to emphasize that FAO recognizes only higher educational qualifications obtained from institutions accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED). This database, regularly updated by the International Association of Universities (IAU) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), can be accessed at http://www.whed.net/.
- Applicants are required to possess a minimum of two years of pertinent work or research experience in one of the Organization’s specific fields.
- Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish), and proficiency in a second FAO language is advantageous.
- Be nationals of FAO Members.
- Candidates should be able to adapt to an international multicultural environment and have good communication skills.
