The recruitment process of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is announced when there is an opening for more people to join the team and this occurs once a year.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was established by former  President Olusegun Obasanjo on the 12th of December 2002 under the Administration Act of the National Assembly. Career Opportunities With EFCC!

According to Gist Bed, Here are some career opportunities to be explored at EFCC.

Assistant Detective Superintendent (ADS)

The Assistant Detective Superintendent is the entry-level rank in the EFCC with a requirement of at least five years of experience in law enforcement or auditing. They are paid 140,00 NGN monthly. 

Detective Superintendent (DS)

The Detective Superintendent is the second rank in the EFCC with a minimum of 10 years of law enforcement or auditing experience. The salary for this position is 150,000 NGN monthly. 

Chief Detective Superintendent (CDS)

Chief Detective Superintendent is the third rank in the EFCC. It requires a minimum of 15 years of law enforcement or auditing experience. The salary range is 170,000 NGN monthly.

Assistant Director (AD)

The Assistant Director is the rank above Chief Detective Superintendent. It requires a minimum of 20 years of law enforcement or auditing experience. The salary range is 190,000 NGN monthly. 

Deputy Director (DD)

The Deputy Director is the second-highest rank in the EFCC. It requires a minimum of 25 years of law enforcement or auditing experience. The salary range is 300,000 NGN monthly. 

Their other allowances are attached to this role. Apart from the monthly take-home, staff are entitled to transport allowances, uniforms, meal subsidies, etc. 

EFCC Application Requirements

The requirements for application are: 

  • Applicants must be a Nigerian. 
  • A means of identification is required 
  • 5 credits in O-level examination
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18-28yrs 
  • Applicants must be single.
  • Applicants must have a good medical report and team spirit.
