Unlike the B.sc degree, applying for a master’s degree at the University of Lokoja means that you will be studying an advanced level of your course for a minimum period of 4 semesters and a maximum period of 6 semesters. - Candidates with only a Bachelor’s degree in Third Class division and a relevant Postgraduate Diploma.
- Candidates with unclassified degrees who have an average grade of “C” or 50% or higher may be required to take qualifying tests.
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
- Applicants might need to successfully complete department-specific examinations as part of their admission process to assess their readiness for postgraduate studies in those departments.

Federal University of Lokoja School Portal
The portal address for the Federal University of Lokoja postgraduate students is https://spgs.fulokoja.edu.ng/. Also, this is where all application and registration procedures for postgraduate students take place. The school has made it known that the sale of forms for postgraduate studies has commenced since September 2023 and is on till November 2023 and interested applicants are invited to send in their applications.
Send in your Masters Application to the Federal University of Lokoja
- To register on the application portal at https://pg.fulokoja.edu.ng/iogads/index, applicants need to have a valid personal email address. Afterwards, click on “Create Account.” When filling out the account creation form, choose the appropriate program type Ph.D, MASTERS, or PGD) based on the program you want to apply for.
- Proceed to make the payment using the RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) number generated from the account you created. Generate your payment invoice for application fees using REMITA services, which can be paid via card or through a bank. If you choose to pay by card, click the “Pay Now” button. For cash payments, simply copy the RRR number and visit the nearest bank to complete the payment.
- After Payment is Successful, Login to your Application Portal to Print the Receipt.
- Click on the Application Form section, and fill in your personal information, including your selected course of study and mode of study. Click the “Save Changes & Proceed” button in blue to move on to the next section, which is Credentials. In the Credentials section, click the green “Add Credentials” button to upload your credentials one by one until they are all successfully added. Click the blue “Save Changes & Proceed” button to progress to the Sponsorship Form.
- Follow the same process described in the step above for each of the other forms, including Schools Attended, Employment, Thesis/Publication, and any additional sections.
