Sometimes, unconventional directions can spark creativity, innovation, and a unique perspective. Most times, it’s even just a thought in your head that needs to be validated or not. However, if you are a content creator, newbie, or experienced, the tips discussed in this article will help you a lot in your journey.

You don’t see these content creation tips often

These tips are about to give you a whole new perspective about doing your thing as a content creator.

Consistency doesn’t mean posting every day

Consistency is important for every content creator but it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to post 6 or 7 times a week. If you are only able to consistently share good stuff 3 times a week, that’s not bad too. Don’t post half-baked content because you want to keep at it every day.  Three amazing posts per week are better than seven poorly executed and rushed content.

Virality is not the goal, focus on growth

It can feel so good to see content that you created go viral, everyone is sharing and it is getting the attention it needs to do the numbers. However, while you can get lost in the euphoria of having your content out there in everyone’s faces, remember that virality is not the tool you need, instead, focus on consistency and sustained growth that can yield a better and more active community.

The numbers won’t always be high, get used to it

Every content creator wants their content to do the numbers which is great but content algorithm is just a mirage and you are most likely never going to catch up with it. The earlier you know this, the better for you and it is even best that you do your thing, regardless of what the numbers do. Post what you want, and what your audience loves, and keep going.

It might not seem like it, but people are watching

Don’t think of quitting for any reason because you think that people aren’t watching. You may feel like this but some people certainly follow your content and you constantly have to remind yourself of this. Don’t hoard content because you are overthinking that people won’t engage. Keep posting great content and engage with your community/audience strategically.

Don’t compromise on your camera quality and editing skills

Be sure that you are working with the best camera, whether you are using a phone or a proper camera. Your audience will only be interested in content that is clear and neat. Invest in proper lighting and use nice backgrounds. If you are still struggling with your editing skills, you can ask someone to help you out while you learn for subsequent purposes.

Write down everything that comes to mind, don’t be too certain that you will remember

Whether you are brainstorming or just having random thoughts drop in your mind, write them down. It is quite easy to say that you would remember but chances are you will never. It is not best to draft out ideas in your head because even the most brilliant concepts can vanish like whispers in the wind if not recorded. So, do a lot of writing to keep your plans in place for when you need them.

These are not the type of tips you get every day, so you may want to stick with them even as you go on in your content creation journey.
